The really buffed guy 2 to the left of Marshall is D.J. Bowles, Fr PG. Marshall says Holmes is ahead of where VanVleet was a year ago. That could be "coach-speak".

In the highlight videos of WSU's summer games, Bowles has been deadly from 3. Those are highlights, but there's no hesitation from the Shox to pass the ball to him when he's open, and he has no hesitation to put it up if he's open.

The guy immediately left (from Marshall's perspective) from Bowles is Rian Holland. Holland is a likely RS. He's small (6'0" I think) and light < 150. He's the shooter in the incoming Fr class. Top-150 HS guy whose HS coach said he had a green light to shoot as soon s the ball crossed the half court line. Needs some bulk and muscle for D1 ball.

You know, you're right. Now that Ryan and the back court has graduated, Evansville should be penciled on the schedule as a W just like last year....Oh.... errr... wait a minute

What's the series history between WSU and EU? I can't seem to remember.

What about in the last 5 years? 10 years?

When's the last time EU made it to the NCAA's or won a Valley title?

Make no mistake about it. You're still Evansville. And even after your Miracle on 34th Street last year, nobody is remembering what Evansville did last year, but only what WSU did.

And now back to your Super Bowl celebration.

Top-150 guy according to...? C'mon guy. FVV was a Top-150. Holland is a 2-star mid-major recruit.

FVV was Top-100.

I've seen Bowles as high as #150 on Future150, but I've never seen Holland in any rankings. He's too small.

I'm not sure if you realized this, but you're arguing with Evansville fans.

Holland did not receive any recruiting accolades as far as I can tell.

My mistake on Holland as a top-150. It was Bowles, not Holland.

And I don't know what service (or services) gave him the rating. If you really want to know go to www.shockernet.net. Then search for him in the recruiting forum.

My mole gave me a detailed report on the stable of studs WSU brings to the Valley table next year after attending a summer scrimmage recently. He sent me videos, pictures, and plenty of commentary on how we are going to be the deepest and most athletic we have ever been from top to bottom in probably the history of the program.

Those are big statements and they aren't mine, but if they are true, the Valley is in deep s*** next year.

Cleanthony has continued on from where he left off in last year's Final Four run. We are going to have to start calling him Mr. F.A.A. because he pretty much owns the air space over Wichita State AND will the rest of the Valley soon.

Tekele is not only 100% Cotton, he is 100% badass. Don't piss him off. There's more on this...

F.V.V. is pretty much one of the best sophomore point guards in the nation. He "marshall's" the court expertly and gets the ball to the right player. On this day though, he was scoring at will from deep and in the paint. My mole asked Shaq if anybody is going to stop him. He replied, "we are trying, but he is crafty". A video he sent me tells the whole story. He makes people look stupid.

Speaking of Shaq.... he said that Shaq must weigh like 400 lbs (actually 280 per Rosenboom) he was banging with the much older and much more experienced K. Coleby and not giving up an inch of real estate. Shaq is what 18 years old? ROFL! By the time he is a senior he is going to have tear tattoos all over his face for the players he has killed in the MVC. No, seriously. He has amazing ups for a guy nearing 3 bills on the scales. HCGM says he wants him down to 260. Good luck!

My Valley friends may jealously ask, "why don't you take your scrimmage report over to Shockernet?" Well I would but right in the middle of our Final Four run, the new owner (3 owners in the last 3 years) of Shockernet went FULL DOUCHEBAG and banned me for trying to get under the skin of a couple Louisville fans that were shitting all over our site with their arrogance and false humility. They were not blatant trolls, they were very good and subtle at what they were doing. So after being a member of Shockernet for something like 13 years I am gone without a warning. Sad story huh? Kind of a nasty thing to do to a guy right before he left for Atlanta to watch his team toy with Louisville for 30 mins before they realized they were in the Final Four and started to turtle a bit.
