It will be hard to crack the top 3 or 4 with how the league is shaping up next year, but that is great for the MVC. Should look like the league did in the mid-2000's.
My SIU concern is either the rotation being too big or not having enough minutes to go around. Does anyone else see this as a potential issue?

This is a well known concern among SIU fans. We have about 13 guys we expect to play, and everybody knows 13 guys will not play on a regular basis.

It should be one of the deepest and most versatile Saluki teams I can recall over the years. Right now, there are 14 scholarship guys, and at least 10-12 of them, on paper, will be tough to keep out of the rotation. That said, they'll need key guys to be healthier this year and have some players emerge to consistently support Domask and Jones if Southern is going to be a postseason-type team.

That's going to be a problem for every good team this year. The top 6 or 7 in the league are going to have 15 or 16 scholarship players and 13 or 14 guys that would be rotation players every other year.

Coaches are going to earn their money this year.

I agree some coaches will struggle managing their rosters and as a result , there will be the continuing parade to the transfer portal , and a few teams may have in season turmoil. But I also think as is often the case, depth is overrated , and the teams that challenge for a title will as usual settle into 9-10 men rotations and recognize the value in keeping their best players on the court. Depth looks nice on paper, comes in handy if there are injuries, but otherwise is overrated , and in today's collegiate basketball world can create more issues than it solves, imho.

Agreed 100% on the depth issue. It's a great talking point, but the team with 7-8 really good guys get it done.

Loyola's Franklin Agunanne is headed to play for Tim Jankovich at SMU.

Not directly MVC related but Arizona State's 19 ppg g is headed to Kansas... The Jayhawks seem to be bringing in a ton of pieces. Seems like Yesufu might get relegated to 7th or 8th man, if that.

KU gets another guard... Really tough to see Yesufu getting any sort of quality PT now.

Can\should Yesufu decommit and go back to Drake or at least seek some other opportunity? I know it probably won't happen but it'd be sweet to see him come back to that loaded Bulldogs roster this year.
