Unless he is delusional, the commissioners statement that the conference will be deeper and stronger next year could only be arguably true if Murray were added. Any of the other schools definitely make the conference weaker. If Murray is not added, the commissioner is delusional unless he is adding some school we have not contemplated.

Of course he is going to talk up whoever is getting added.

But Jackson made “the goal is to be the #7 conference” a point of emphasis when Belmont was added, which is another instance to Drakey’s point.

I'll fight this until they prove me wrong.

Arlington is not a bad addition. Their athletic department/facilities have a very, very Valley feel to them and getting away from the football misfits is going to help immensely. Having 7 million people in the metro and 45,000 students is nothing but a bonus.

Y'all are way too hung up on geography, it would be one thing if it were a tough place to get to but DFW is one of the two or three easiest and cheapest places to get in and out of in the country.

They're a MUCH better add than UIC.

7 million metro and 45,000 students and can’t get but 1,200 (announced, not seen) attendance.

You can see how much those 45,000 UTA students care about their sports from their message board.

Springfield, Des Moines, Bloomington, Peoria, Evansville, Nashville, and Chicago all have direct flights to DFW.

How many at Illinois State care? Or Belmont? or Bradley?
