Nobody gives a s*** about FCS football. The Valley schools in that league would do it in a heartbeat if there was a way to not have to find 5 non-league games every year.

Western Illinois is going to the OVC next year and if Missouri State leaves, that's 10 MVFC teams. I'd say leave it there, provided the Dakotas don't do anything.

The MVC would be left with 11 teams, so I would say plug in a non-football playing school - which fits NKU or Bellarmine. My vote is for NKU. And then I would not do anything else.

I like the Dakotas for football, they don't add enough for basketball to justify adding them.

I prefer St Thomas (which is in the Pioneer League for football) as well. As for the questions about the Dakotas. NDSU doesn't add enough to justify it especially on their own or without SDSU but SDSU absolutely does. They are consistently a top 60-100 (or better) NET program. Would that translate to the MVC? Not sure and the SL programs would probably have to commit more resources to really have a chance but SDSU absolutely merits inclusion even as a standalone addition. (All of this presupposes that Missouri State has left and ORU is therefore off the table. They are not a good fit institutionally but they are really good at spots. I would hate myself for it but I would probably support their candidacy solely on the basis of this being an athletics conference.

We’re here to add good basketball programs and/or markets. Nobody gives a crap about your personal values. I’ve yet to figure out what’s wrong with the school.

I have read where others have posted similar sentiments as this without any actual examples of ORU's contrasting values. Could you provide views, beliefs, etc that makes them not a good fit/choice for the Valley?

Y'all have never been in an all sports league with them. The fracturing of the NCC was ugly and 1000% their fault. Ended up working out for us but it was UGLY in the moment
