For WSU, I don't think the players relished the pressure of expectations. Once the burden was lifted, all hell broke loose. Fortunately, at least one incoming player knows what it's like to win multiple championships and what it's like to play with one of the greatest player in the country. A hard-nosed leader. We'll see how much the returning players learned the lesson this season provided.

Both WSU and CU are one win away from a championship. That would be very cool in a down year for the MVC.

Yeah, it's still the NIT but I'm proud of our guys. They could have quit after they realized their NCAA dreams were no more, but instead took the opportunity by the horns.

Win or lose on Thursday night, I'm a happy Shocker fan. And about a month ago I was the one saying there is nothing that could be good coming out of the NIT.

It's a long season and teams sometimes stay stagnant, sometimes regress and sometimes get better. WSU and CU have both benefited very much from playing in also-ran events and are playing their best ball of the year.

Being a CU fan I'll speak to their prospects but it was interesting watching the team on the floor at crunch time last night. Of the nine available scholarship players you had four seniors sitting on the bench while a junior, 2 sophs and 2 frosh were on the floor.

This post season has been a great thing for CU win or lose the CBI from here. Not winning would take a little tarnish off the proceedings so I hope they finish it off.
