Probably depends on who WSU hires..... At WSU he'd get immediate PT

He would get immediate PT at VCU, who lose something like four of their top five scorers.

I think most people are secure enough to know Valley jobs aren't necessarily destination jobs, especially with what the conference is now. Valley schools can't throw around 2 or 3 million like the big boys can.

I'm glad he didn't lie. I was more commenting on the fact that he didn't come out and say, "no, I'm not going to consider other jobs".

Our coach has been in these situations. In fact, he came out last week and said "I'm not going anywhere".

Right but if that is how he feels then he is telling the truth. Obviously Marshall isn't closed to all situations so he can't say that. Well he can I guess, but he didn't.

Sounds like we might find out tonight on Marshall's situation.

It was just reported by KNSS radio that there will be a regular coach's show tonight and that Marshall will make a special announcement.

So it is now likely that he has signed a new contract at WSU and will be staying.

If the rumors are correct and Marshall signed a one year extension, then I hit the nail on the head on the Valley coaching changes thread! In fact, I picked 1.5. That is pretty darned close, one coach left, another came an eyelash from leaving!

As for the one year extension, if true, that would be a bit problematic to me if I were a Shocker fan. I would guess that Marshall didn't want the NC State job, but did not allow himself to be locked into a longterm deal with a big buyout. If true, smart move for Marshall as there will be better jobs than NC State opening up next year.

2 coaches left. Martin and Les.

And I heard it was a 5 year extension for Marshall.

I really think he wants South Carolina job. Or if he can actually land Perry Ellis.
