Will an MVC team make the Final Four in the next 10 years?

We have a lot more questions going into the season than UNI does...A ton of unproven D1 players with some solid experience coming back. Anything can happen but you act like all this is certain.

Wouldn't surprise me to see MSU in the play-in game nor would it surprise me to see MSU contend for the title

I don't care who your recruits are they won't float that boat. Jacobson can only slow the game down so much eventually you still have to shoot.

Really? Recruits can't help a team out? Man grillz, you should start telling every coach that recruiting is pointless since it can't help a team out...

UNI incoming class is one of the best the university has ever had and a lot of them will have the chance to get minutes right away. Moran is still there, Anthony James will be one of the MVC's top scorers, Jake Koch actually had better numbers last year than Adam did when he was the MVC poy 2 years ago, Chip Rank, Nate Buss and Chris Olivier will hopefully give us a strong post prescence (and hey Austin Pehl might, MIGHT figure out how to play like a 7 footer, but then again pigs might fly). We don't even know our redshirts yet but we do know that we'll have probably 10+ guys getting decent minutes every game and that depth counts for a lot. Also we have Ben Jacobson calling the shots and that makes us a threat to win ANY game. Yeah a lot of this is speculation but all you're doing is speculating that UNI has no talent which is a far cry from the truth.

Easy there p-state, your new here so you may not remember how the Panthers were going to drop to Thursday with loss of AKoch, Ali and Jordan according to the board. Also, Jake did not have better numbers than Adam had during his POY year, he had better numbers than Adam had as a sophomore, but not Adam's senior senior (when he won). The new recruits look good, but it may take a year for them to learn how to play in Jake's system and get used to the MVC. Of course, after next year, everyone will return except Moran.

And Grillz, don't you worry your head about how UNI will deal with the loss of KA. Heck, there's a lot of posters on here who don't think he was one of the best 5 or 6 guards in the league last year. Can't be that big a loss. And it's not as if UNI lost 4/5 of their starting line-up and coaching staff. I reckon UNI will be better off with an injury to Koch than MSu will be with an injury to Weems. Just calling it as I see it.

Sorry I thought that was the point made that Jakes numbers were better than Adams POY...I thought that sounded a little crazy. Regardless Jake had a productive year despite being completely invisible at times and he will only get better.

I'm new here. I'm a MSU Bears fan and season ticket holder. Nice forum here. I'm a fan of the Bears primarily but do also have a dedicated interest in all of the MVC basketball conference.

Regarding the question. It's a crapshoot regarding getting a team to the final four. But I think it's entirely possible. Maybe 50/50. I think UNI was just a few decent breaks away from making it in 2010. The 2010 UNI team was that good in my opinion. I wasn't that surprised that they beat KS. I told several people they would either beat KS or give them a great game. That next game they lost - several of their players just had an off night. If it could come that close to happening a year ago then why not over the next 10 years?

First of all, learn how to quote and write in complete sentences before calling someone else a joke.

Creekmore himself said there was less than a 20% chance of getting it. So far we have heard nothing about it. So, what did I say that was wrong exactly? I didn't say he wasn't going to get it. I said he hasn't. Big difference there big guy.

In all honesty, no I don't expect a MVC team to make a final four in the next 10 years. I would say it is only about a 10% chance of it, and that is with a lot better recruiting throughout the conference.
