While that is true we picked up 4 in the paint and at 15-20 minutes a game we can rotate them in and out . I appreciate their freshman status but I am looking at the senior in the middle. I was hoping that you could forward some insight to that development. Hopefully it'll be like a Gardner development

Wow. I just don't see how ANYONE, at any D1 school, can predict a lot of success counting on true freshman post players. Guards, maybe, ok I can understand that. But post play is a different animal.

This is why I had them at 6, and will have to vote for them here as I think this is above where they will end up.

While the Aces do have true freshman inbound for the middle, They still have 3 Seniors and 5 Juniors seasoned players. The 3 Seniors are forwards that will be starting this season and the 5 Juniors are the back court. We didn't lose anything last year that was offense to us . 5.6 points can be easily replaced.

6-6 185 and 6-4 180 will have a tough time holding up all season on the inside without some beef in the middle and the only senior with size got you not even a point and just over a rebound per in half your games last year.

Evansville's roster lists two guys over 215 pounds (and Colt Ryan is your 4th biggest at 210), WSU has 5 guys that big, Missouri State has 6, UNI has 6, Creighton has 3 (with Doug listed at 210?). Unless Marty is going much more up-tempo, which doesn't seem to fit his style, the Aces are going to be undersized inside in both height and weight for the grind of the Valley. The youngsters may be talented, but they haven't been through a full college season and its rigors on the body, and it sounds like the Aces are expecting them to take the pounding on the inside.

Not sure where you got Creighton's numbers from, but you might have been looking at a roster from last year. According to gocreighton.com, we have 5 players listed above 215 with another one right at 215. Either way, I think it is a legit point. It is almost always necessary to have a hand-full of guys that can bang inside. During the last 5 years of the Altman era, this seemed to be one of Creighton's biggest problems IMO.

Again, talented Freshmen are dime a dozen. The transition from superstar high school kid to D1 contributor is huge. The Aces lack true size in the middle and our forwards are not going to be able to "bump and grind" for 40 minutes. Our success will be driven by team-play, outside shooting, defense, and some dumb old plain luck--other team has a key injury or we win some games on the road by one point.

I predict a finish between 3-5 if we play well and are lucky. If we are unlucky, we could slide to 6-8.

Even though I am a fanatic, and have tossed common sense and logic to the side, my first post to this thread predicted a 5th place finish, with the caveat that I could take another look at it on Dec. 31st. After the non-con schedule, it could be higher, it could be lower.
