Every year there are surprises in this league. I'd guess WSU and CU finish 1-2 but won't be surprised at all if that doesn't happen.

If there are any surprises, I expect it to be either Indiana State finishing 5th or lower and/or one of the Illinois teams not being a Thursday team.

As always, injuries could change that.

I think it is far more likely that Indiana State finishes the season at 5th or worse than it is for WSU or CU to finish outside of the Top 3.

The Sycamores made The Dance. The Panthers were among the Valley teams that were not there. Don't expect to see them there this season either. Like our Sycamores chances a whole lot better than yours.

I honestly see UNI as more of a threat for the Top 3 than Indiana State.

Gotta love Sycamore fans bragging about a weekend in St. Louis. Remember, this was the same vaulted Sycamore bunch that lost to the likes of Loyola, Eastern Kentucky, Ball State and got their rears handed to them by Wyoming by 30. They should strike fear into everyone's eyes.

Reminds me of fans of some obscure school like UNC-Asheville, bragging about being in the NCAA Tournament.

Yeah, your boy really blew up the fan of the team that's won BOTH regular season and post season titles, TWICE in 3 years, and WON post season games in the Dance (ie didn't get posterized by an over-rated team in the first round and remember as nothing but a stain on the road and a crewcut).

I'll give the Trees this....they went from Valley play-in STALWARTS to most annoying team likely to turn WSU fans into CU fans and vice versa faster than any other 2 bit program in history. Congrats.

After the "real beatdown" we took in "Whichita" last season, I wouldn't necessarily throw a hell of a lot of stones if I was a Shocker fan. You might as well look for a split at best this season when you start counting your conference "W's". You had your run last season in that other tourney; don't believe it will be that much fun this time around. And "The Dance" for the Shockers...........No Way Jose......

I'm not going to argue with everyone on this site....it's pointless...regardless of how well Indiana State plays it will always be considered a fluke. It seems like some of the people on this site have a personal vendetta against Indiana State. Granted I understand there have been some bonehead comments made on here by Sycamore fans in the past but I feel that a majority of people on this site have developed a hatred of our entire fan-base because of one or two fans. Indiana State has the talent to be a top 3 team this year in the Valley...if you don't see that I'm sorry but you don't know anything about basketball.
