Was at the game, poor rebounding, too much easy dribble penetration and some homecooking didn't help either. Atleast for rpi purposes, this doesn't hurt too much. Very poor defensive game by the Jays.

I know St. Joe's is a quality team but I'm still kind of surprised CU lost. Is Echenique hurt or something? It seems like he's not playing as well as last year.

He's struggling to beat doubles this year. Last year he would fight through them for points or to draw fouls. Now he hesitates or passes right back out. Doesn't seem to have the greatest hands in the world either. He's got some solid low post moves but just isn't finishing. And the worst part is that when he IS drawing fouls he shooting less than 40% FT, when last year he was around 70%.

I would say though that the BCS bias is correct in one thing though...some of the refs that get relegated to doing "non-power conference" games call ticky tack fouls. It's frustrating to see Gregory pick up at least one ridiculous offensive foul per game because they won't let him play physically.

This is a loss that won't hurt too bad at all, just like the Temple victory over WSU it hurts more because it gives the A-10 a victory over an MVC upper tier team. Outside of that the RPI shouldn't be effected too bad nor is it going to be viewed as a bad loss.

Seemed like to start out the second half CU was pounding it into GE and he was scoring, then that just quit after about 4 trips.

This happens to the best of them. Tough loss, but not a horrible loss. Rebound and take it out on your next opponent CU!
