No. The location and time slot are known before the tourney starts. The two teams are unknown.

I know this may be hard for you to swallow, being one who knows so much, but you are dead wrong. We had no idea what times the games were inOmaha until the pairings were set. Then the Sunday gametimes were not set until Saturday after all the Friday games were finished. The NCAA could have set times for the Omaha games and the CU games to be at different times.

Can we all use some common sense?

The game time blocks are set by the tv networks and the NCAA before the tournament begins.

The actual game time is then slightly adjusted as the earlier games conclude.

Now, please enlighten me if I am incorrect.

Unfortunately, ratings is what matters. CBS doesn't care if Creighton is hosting. There are some dog games (Ohio/USF, Lehigh/Xavier) so they are gonna showcase the best games at the best times on the best network (CBS) and the rest of the games will fill in afterwards...

The time slots are set but the locations for the time slots are not. I think that is the discrepancy. It's not like they said before the tourney started that the 2 Greensboro games will get the 1 and 2:30 time slot while the Omaha games will get the 6 and 8 o'clock time slot. They could have made the schedule where Omaha and Greensboro did not conflict IF they wanted to but they didn't cause ratings is what they care about.

They don't care about the overlap because the tickets are already sold, the checks have been cashed and the money is in the bank. Who cares if the ticket holders don't show up, the fans of the teams at the site will be there, so there will still be some crowd.

Good luck to the Jays today, Duke losing Friday doesn't help any as there would have been at least some portion of the crowd that was actively rooting against Carolina other than the Omaha contingent had they won.

Here's my preview and prediction. I actually got a call this morning asking how I could pick against the Valley -at least people are tuning in. I think CU has a chance.

I already attempted to enlighten you, but you have shut your mind against learning and instead you focus on wanting to be correct.

Guys, I can be enlightened. Go back and look at the number of threads I initiated where I am asking fellow posters to comment and help me understand because I do not know everything. That said: when I was in my 20s and 30s I thought I knew more than I did and now I am able to continue to learn (hint).

Anyway, I can care less about being wrong or right, please. I am only trying to correct this misperception that game times are not known until the night before.

Go Jays, I will be rooting for you and hoping that next weekend some drunk Creighton kids can fill an elevator and throw insults at their opponents :D
