AD Currie is on a little bit of a hot seat. I do not believe there is any way that he will select a coach with an unimpressive resume from a mid-major school. He needs at least a double. Triple is better. Homerun is much better. Coach Jank does not fit any of those categories.

If the wins over 200+ rpi teams were stripped from his record, it would be pretty dreary.

Agreed. I hate our schedule and am completely embarrassed by it every year. 20+ wins means jack when you're beating SWAC teams.

For the record, I'd rather go 15-15 against a top 100 schedule than 25-5 against the current OOC crap we're scheduling.

Speaking of scheduling. I'm surprised cpacmel hasn't posted on here yet, but it looks like we will play 2 of Northwestern, UAB and TCU in South Padre next year and 2 of Navy, Farleigh Dickinson or 2 TBA's at home for that tournament.

After looking at White and Blue's projected schedules it also seems like we will get either Nevada, Wyoming or Fresno St. at home for the challenge next season.

Not sure about TCU or UAB, neither of which were good this year but Northwestern will probably not be as good next year after losing Shurna. Unfortunately, that tourney isn't doing ISUR any favors. I REALLY hope Jank schedules someone good next year, PLEASE!

Pantagraph is reporting Jank/SMU interest. SMU is having a hard time filling its position. Tons of money, no real history, out of date arena (but a new practice facility), and they were one of the worst C-USA teams last year.

No one seems to want to rebuild in the Big East, despite a potentially big paycheck.
