A big chunk of the second half was some of the worst basketball I've seen at WSU since the dark days of the '90's.
With Wessel and Orukpe both missing the game due to injury, Lufile and Wiggins got more minutes.
Lufile is probably the best 3rd unit center in the league. He had 6 points and 10 boards and looked great on D - most of the time. NCU was running some high screens that put Lufile doubling a guard at half court during the switch. He was getting back after the switch and forced a back court violation on one possession.
Wiggins had a couple of "coaching moments" that got him pulled from the game for some "friendly" advice from the coaching staff, but he did manage to get 14 points and was 4/6 from 3. He's been the 3rd unit SF, but with Wessel out, he got more minutes and it looked like he was trying to get more PT.
Williams started in place of Wessel and was REALLY looking good until the Shox built the big lead.
Jake White is starting to look like the guy at the far end of the bench. He has moments where he looks great, and he's got a sweet shot from the perimeter, but he's starting to remind me of a 6'8" version of Garrett Stutz. The two of them share the same footwork on D.
If Early would have wanted it and Marshall would have allowed it, Early could have put up 40.
