We have two NCAA bids if Wichita State and Creighton separate from the pack, 3 if someone else wins the tournament, 1 if either of the aforementioned teams loses 4+ conference games.

i think that CU and WSU are in the NCAA with 5 or maybe even 6 conference losses

Illinois St is in trouble. They have @Wichita on the 16th. Win or lose, doesn't matter. But the other 8 games in their upcoming 9 game stretch, the SoS is weak enough such that they almost have to run the table in those 8 to have a legitimate chance now. And they're probably going to have to pick off one of @Creighton and @Wichita.

I think they are going to need to pick off both if they want to be an at-large team and likely one of them in the tourney if they don't win it all.

I'm not totally writing off Indiana St at this point. They have a pretty good noncon (sans one game) with some notable wins. If they could hold serve at home against CU & WSU and beat a lot of the other MVC schools on the road, there is some potential there.

I agree with you every Redbird fan is disapointed with what has happened in the MVC to start. Was at CU game and we played them til the final minute. Easy schedule until at Creighton on FEB 9th with the exclusion of at Wichita. We need to win every game, and yes at Wichita. They had to win 3 or 4 of the CU, WSU, and UNI games and it would be nice to have a quality win beside Dayton. We'll be in contention at the end of the year if they start winning as I said.

They are an interesting case. Can absolutely not afford any losses to the lower RPI teams in conference and do need to protect the home court. I think they could sustain a home loss to WSU or CU but probably not both. It is unfortunate that they are a home team for Bracketbusters, both because they could use another decent non-conference road win and the visiting teams (outside of the Valley) are not much to get excited about.

Assuming a bb win 2 wins in st Louis, a 5 loss CU/WSU team would finish with an RPI around 25-30. Might be good enough to get an at-large.

12-6 conference record may be on the edge, but I think WSU or CU would be fine with it

Three Valley teams in this bracket.

Jays a three, WSU a seven and ISU-B an eleven.
