I got a good chuckle out of that one myself. Props to you AndShock.

On a personal level I don't have a lot of great Arch Madness memories. I actually get quite annoyed if MSU is not having a great year and I happen to be in St. Louis that weekend. I never did see eye to eye with the traveling Blue Jay fan. They always irritated me when I saw them around town. When the Bears lose I typically stop watching basketball altogether and pick it back up on Selection Sunday.

Yeah, you're probably not going to like a bunch of fans whose team has been owning your team for a while now.

Favorite Arch Madness moments for me:

1997, when an 0-18 Drake team shocked Wichita in the first round......I know some Shocker fans who still have nightmares about Lynnrick Rogers

2008, Bulldogs defeat Illinois State 79-49 in the championship game.

In that game I remember telling someone on the phone its going to be a blow out as Drake was ahead like 24-10 or something like that in the first 8 minutes.

I think it may have been that "extreme wigglin" dance from the UNI fans that hexed the Bulldogs.

I think one of the greatest games I've seen there was Missouri State vs. SIU in 2005. SIU was absolutely demolishing Missouri State, and I remember Barry calling a timeout and was going insane on his team. I don't remember the exact score, but they had to have been down by 20 or so. They made an incredible comeback and ended up winning the game.

Our game vs. Creighton in 2009 was very similar, except unfortunately Clevin wasn't able to hold on to the ball and the timekeeper wasn't able to do his/her job correctly. I don't know how well we would have done against Illinois State in the next round, but I guarantee we would have done much better against them than Creighton did.

Osiris going off against us in the 2nd half of the 09 title game...

That entire 2010 tournament makes it for me. Average margin of victory of 17.

Drake we held them without a field goal for over an hour of real time (yes, that does include half time) and close to 40 minutes of real time without a point. Aaron Howly hit a 3 with 7:59 left in the first half and Drake didn't score again until the 16:57 mark of the second half when Van Deest hit a pair of FT. They didn't score again until the 857 mark with Craig Stanley hit a pair of FT. They didn't hit a FG until the 700 mark of the second half. Went on to win 55-40 and held Drake to 32% shooting

Bradley in the semis was very similar...36-19 at half and 57-40 final. Multiple spurts of 4-7 minutes in the game that Bradley went without a FG. Held Bradley to 33% shooting.

WSU in the finals was a good game at half...WSU up 31-28 and 33-28 just 13 seconds into the second half and 39-33 after a 3 by Stutz with 16:24 left. WSU didn't hit another FG until the 4:24 mark when Clevin Hannah hit a 3...but at the point the score had gone from 39-33 to 56-45 UNI. WSU shot 43% from the field and 50 from deep in the first half compared to 23% and 25% in the second half thanks to UNI's D and finished at 32% and 37%.....all capped off by Lucas O'Rear hitting a 30 footer at the end of the game. What made that game ever better is my wife and I sat with the Koch and Aheleghbe families. That was an experience. in itself I'll never forget..

The way Osirus went off in the second half in the 2009 title game was crazy. He only had 21 on the game, but his first basket wasn't until the 17:58 mark of the second half. He was hitting 3 pointers from Laclede's Landing while fading towards East St. Louis on a full sprint facing the other direction. I'm still shocked that 3 pointer at the end of OT didn't go in.

This past year, the biggest memory I have is actually getting along with almost 100% of the Creighton fans I encountered. I even had a long, polite conversation with an older Creighton couple.
