You are all forgetting that McIntosh came here with fellow Canadian Kaza Keane already on the team. The two played together on the Canadian national team this summer, so that would seem to make it pretty likely that he'd stay. Also, McIntosh had no grade issues that we know of, but rather it's that he didn't have the proper amount of coursework at the academy he played at to allow him to be eligible right away. In addition, Hawkins and McIntosh are both in a similar situation, so they have each other to work through this year together. I think that's better than being alone in the situation, at least there's two of them going through it together.BCPanther wrote:tribecalledquest wrote:RFan21...as I said on the PJStar board.
No chance either of Hawkins or McIntosh stay and play four years at ISU. How many of these type of risks end up working out at the MVC level/
This is dead on.
Neither one of them ever end up playing at ISU, or anywhere for that matter.
How does ISU not finish last at this point? SIU is bad, but at least they've got bodies...

I don't think so. A lot of these guys go to academies because they think it makes them more attractive basketball recruits. But then they realize that they aren't really schools and get screwed over. It's happened to a lot of guys.
And IlSU is quickly looking like they're locking up the 10th spot. I doubt they win more than 10 games this year.

Tarise Bryson comes to mind.

How was he a risk?
And ok, if you count him there's one.
You don't think Hawkins and McIntosh are risks?
