65-38, UE 7-9 from the 3 point line
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

79 free throws. This game was disgusting. Every time one team went on even a 6 pt run, the whistles would blow. Too many turnovers and getting smoked on the boards did it in.

This summer someone said that Ron Baker couldn't create his own shot (Bearz77?). While Baker was deadly from 3 with his quick release tonight, he also had a great ball fake and dribble drive for a 15 footer as well as a dunk where he just took it from the three all the way in on the wing. It was a weak dunk, but he created his own shot.

Baker and VanVleet each had 21. VanVleet added 6 assists. Early had 12 and 8 on just 8 shots and was in foul trouble all night.

Final score was 77-54

Go Shox!

I'll take a 23 point road win all day, every day.

The Shox look good when they turn it on.

You beat me to it. Bearz77 must feel like an idiot.

Baker won't score like this every game (teams will try to stop him) but he is a great 3 ball shooter, nice slasher, great assist maker, top notch defender, nice medium depth shot, great rebounder for a guard, nice handles, etc. He is a really fine all around player who doesn't have just one or two skills.

Not a whole lot to say about the Bears defeating Grambling State. Grambling simply isn't a good basketball team. All of our players got a chance to play except Pick who was held out as a precaution in this one.

One thing that is evident though is that we are no longer offensively challenged like we were last year. We have plenty of shooters/scorers. The Bears shot over 80% in the 2nd half. M Marshal had 18 and was 6/6 for FG's in limited time.

Still work to do on the defensive end.

I think having Ruder as a legit outside threat and Tyler (as needed) as a skilled space eater has opened things up for Marshall a bit.

Nah, I'd only feel like an idiot if I was stupid enough to take a play out of 1 game and try to pass that off as an effective argument against an overall assessment of a players strengths and weaknesses. Whether that assessment proves accurate or not , your rebuttal is like me isolating one play where he charges or turns the ball over trying to beat someone off the dribble and saying what an idiot you are for thinking he could do it. Let the year play out and we'll see how many times he gets to the rim and scores in half court sets off his own dribble.. If he does it a lot, then I'm wrong, but one play in one game sure isn't gonna sway my thinking.
