Several of us loyal Aces fans tried to explain the difference between cupcakes and Valley teams when we were 5-0 and our loyalty was questioned. This is a rebuilding year.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

Question is, would you be happy with a sweep of WSU again this season, but satisfied with the same level of postseason accomplishment?

I know Shocker fans would be accepting of a UE sweep and a repeat of its postseason outcome.

Drake wins 94-66 in the Valley opener. Daniels had 28 in a big night. Carter 19, Hawley 12, Caird 10. Van Deest 10 rebounds. 20 assists.

Is that COUTEAU guy still predicting 14-4 and 23-6 for the Aces?

Drake might not be the best team in the Valley this year, but if you take them lightly, you will get stomped. They will win more than their share this year. It is hard to evaluate a team that has just beaten a bad team by 28 points, but they surely impressed me.

Love the way this Drake team shares the ball....20 assists vs 11 turnovers. Drake shot 72% in the 2nd half.....it wasn't that Drake was crazy hot, they just got really, really good shots.

Jordan Daniels with 28 points and 3 assists.

Rich Carter 19 points, 5 assists and 3 steals in only 24 minutes

Seth Van Deest and Jacob Jensen Enevold combined for 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Caird and Hawley both in double figures.

Good team effort. Drake pretty much dominated from start to finish. UE finished the first half on a run, due to getting to the line 17 times in the first half.....since Drake won easily, I won't comment on the officiating in the first half.

I can't remember the last time that Drake had 30+ point leads in two games in a row.

Drake has two of the quickest guards you will see this year and two that can finish. You'll also see a very well coached team. E-ville is not that good, but itty would have been close under the last guy Drake called coach. This could be interesting. At 10 and 3, I have tingly feelings.
