Worst official that does Valley games

I forget who the game was against, but one night, the contestant had a different idea in mind. Instead of listening for the crowd, he ran in a full on sprint in a random direction. Right into Eric Curry, who was standing next to Zelton Steed. And they were PISSED. If there was a good way to get crowd noise, though, that might have been it.

I usually try not to learn who the refs are for UE's home games. It would just cause me heartburn

Drake still deserved to lose, but they were terrrrrrible

Pollard was the lead official.

I had no problems with the officials tonight...Drake just flat out stunk up the joint.

Is it just me or does the Valley seem to be using some new crews this year, UNI has had a couple of games where the entire crew I had never heard of.

I believe the league had pulled back on paying top dollar. The old saying that you get what you pay for certainly applies.

The group in CF yesterday had a combined 18 games officiated before yesterday. We're starting to pull D2 guys.

I had a family member that was an official and knew at one time what the requirements are.

What are they now at the D1 level? Do you study, take a test, get any direction? How is evaluation handled?

I just watched the UNI MSU game on ESPN 3, and if that crew gets another D1 game there is something wrong, they were in why over their heads.

I actually thought they did a good job. There are always a couple bad calls but they let em play (UNI had to foul on purpose to use time) and even called a couple charges.
