Way to go Trees! Credit to SIU on a great game...Salukis have made a major turnaround since the beginning of the year...will definitely be a tough team in the future. Hopefully the Syc's can make a game out of it tomorrow on National Television...would hate to see another game like the one we had in Wichita.

That was just a flat-out great conference tournament game. Great job by Hinson to turn SIU's season around-- remember, they were 4-11 overall and 0-2 in conference going into the game on January 8. They finish the season 9-9 in conference, winning 8 of their last 12 games, 14-19 overall, and four points from making the final at Arch Madness.

Tough loss for the Salukis. A couple of missed bunnies and missed free throws were the difference. But this was a heck of a learning experience for this team that should only benefit them down the road.

Yeah Odum got away with a lot of bs that he shouldn't have, but the game was lost because SIU missed at least two wide open layups and 11 free throws.

Too bad too, 2 out of the 3 games against the Trees, SIU could have won, they just shot themselves in the foot each time. Still, I think the future is bright (if SIU can keep the Beane's around).

Hopefully Elgin will have (personally) rewired that shot clock on the visitor's bucket by tomorrow... I hope that 10 minute delay looked as good on TV as it did in person.
