Assuming Evansville can go 11-1 in non-conference, then they only need to go like 14-4 in conference.

And what type of quality wins would they have on their resume, assuming 4 of those losses are to UNI and WSU?

This is true. Evansville will need a more gaudy record than most based on their quality wins. I would think that 25-5 would do it, but it might not.

Evansville's schedule is decent in my opinion. Their win over Belmont will look better later in the year as Belmont will win 20+ games. Their blowout win over Cal-Irvine will look better later in the year as well as they are expected to win their conference title.

Evansville has some true road games coming up that will pad their schedule: @ Murray State, @ Arkansas, and @ Fresno State.

Is 25-5 necessary in your opinion to get an at large bid, or do they have more room?

That depends on who the other 4 losses are to? If they lose all 4 to UNI and WSU, they still wont have any quality wins. If they steal one or two of those, but the other losses come from whoever ends up in 4th or 5th in MVC, they might actually have a chance at an at large.

It certainly can get worse. If Anton Grady is out for the rest of the season, who else has a crack at the Elite Eight or Final Four?

Shox without Van Fleet are no big thang, and neither is The Valley. UNI and UE are the potent forces at this point in time. Who knows about the Redbirds (since they showed up against Kentucky like they did)? Rest of Valley is up for grabs, including Shuxsters without FVW.

I would pick the Shockers as having a shot at both with a full roster.

Good. A few comments like this and I'm sure many more from several teams that believe the Valley is up for grabs now. Someone make a new poll please so we can gauge where everyone stands now with all the WSU carnage. Should be an interesting league, at a minimum.

Who's favored now? UNI? UE? Will WSU avoid Thursday?
