I know it's a good rule but players are starting to act like soccer players where anytime anything gets remotely close to their head they jerk their heads more than JFK in the Zapruder film.

In my view it was a "basketball play" for the following reasons.

1. Mock never looked back to know where the defender's head was
2. His elbows turned with his body, there was no swinging
3. His elbows were at Mock's shoulder level, he had no idea the defender was ducking his head down to that level, or that it was that close (see #1, he never looked back)
4. He was knocked a little off balance by the foul that made it look like more than it was.
5. Contact was in no way extreme.

The only possible case would be calling him for a chicken wing, but in my opinion that action was caused by the initial bump/knee in his rear that got him off balance. If you're going to call that, then you have to call the same thing on Washpun every time he drives around a defender.

The Iggy T wasn't what cost us the game. The terrible shooting in the first half was the #1 reason.

However, there were many more missed calls in the 2nd half much worse than the Iggy call.

1. Brzoja elbowed in the face on the free throw - no call (Marty should have said something to the ref on this one especially after the Iggy T) This was the first missed call by everyone's absolute favorite ref...Zelton Steed.
2. Brzoja thrown to the floor when going for the rebound right in front of Steed.
3. Phantom foul on DJ when Washpun took a fade away 20 footer where the announcers even said it was not a foul. That's the only time I've ever seen them call that on a fade away shot. .... Mr. Steed again.
4. Foul on DJ when he and Mock blocked a shot in the 2nd half. Announcers and reply showed it was all ball.
5. UNI player rebounds ball right in front of the ref and takes 3 steps and steps on the end line. No call...and you guessed it Steed strikes again
6. Washpun obvious travel right in front of the ref (I'll let you guess who it was....) where he drug his pivot foot halfway across the floor. Announcers also mentioned this one. Washpun travels so much there are many more to list, but this one was the obvious one.

I usually say nothing about the officiating, but this was just completely inexcusable for a game of this magnitude. Zelton Steed shouldn't have a job after that performance. Complete incompetence.

I didn't watch the game, but I'm surprised Steed still gets hired to do games. He is the worst official I can think of that works MVC games. Bo Boroski isn't far behind.
