All this talk about Carolina being "down" is a little overboard, in my humble opinion. They have national caliber players on their roster.
There's no doubt UNC has a boatload of talent, but they just haven't put it together last year or this year so far. Their point guard has definitely not been up to their standards and they dont have the shooters like like they've had in the past. Either way, it would still be a huge upset for us to win, but the fact that we aren't being laughed off the site for discussing the possibility should tell ya UNC is down somewhat. On a side note, I think if the game is even close, we should just spend the last 10 minutes of the game fouling Henson at every opportunity......2 straight air balls at the line.....seriously?!?!!??

One thing to watch for in this game will be how the Aces play the pick and roll. Kentucky was having their big help on the guard while the defender tried to go over the top which gave UNC bigs a bunch of easy looks. Why Kentucky didn't just stay with the big and have the defender go under the pick is beyond me. UNC guards aren't going to beat you with the jumper very often. The two things UE must do to compete are go under the pick and double the post quickly. As for UNC beating Kentucky, Kentucky is not nearly as good this year as last year and their bigs aren't nearly as good as the 3 teams that have beaten UNC already.

Of course if you beat them, they will never do a 2 for 1 with a mid-major again.

I want to see Harrison Barnes play. I can't believe people voted him first team all-american and it doesn't sound like he's been all that impressive. Sure he looked great against slow white Iowa high school boys but so did Casey Harriman.

I think if the Aces can keep up rebounding wise and press effectively they have a chance.
EU is going to have to light up the 3's right out of the box. Good Luck!

You really think UE should press? You must be betting on UNC and want UE to get blown out.

Creighton had the chance to play Kentucky at home in the NIT. It was a "down" year for Kentucky. It was one of the best environments ever at the Qwest. Everyone stood the entire game and it was a blast. Good or bad its fricking North Carolina. You will have a blast. If you are with in 100 miles you have to find a way to go. Good Luck. Wow, Butler and UNC in the same year. How about that?

We must keep it in the half court. If we don't it will be over before the first time out.

You might be overestimating UNC. If the Aces play smart and get good shots, they have a chance. I would have argued they had a better chance winning versus a young UNC team at home than against Butler on the road. No reason you can't win this one. How cool would it be if the two biggest MVC nonconference wins were both by the Aces?

I dont think we're overestimating UNC, I hope we are, I think we are being realistic about the matchup. As I said earlier, their strengths seem to be our weaknesses. We physically matchup well with Butler, heck we played them close last year. Physically we dont matchup well with UNC, but that's nothing new for UE. I do agree, if we play our game and dont get overwhelmed by the moment, we can make a game of it and have a chance.
