At will transfers will do nothing but make college basketball more corrupt than it already is. Is it really helpful to the student to be able to play at four schools in four years? It certainly would seem to reduce their chances of ever getting a degree. In Iowa, and I would assume in most states, you are not allowed to change high schools without sitting out a semester. I assume it is to discourage recruiting other teams players. I don't understand why nobody seems to think it is good to require a player to sit out if he wants to transfer. It probably gives him a way better chance of graduating if he is not playing the year he switched schools. I am particularly puzzled as to why anybody who supports a Valley team would be against the rule. Elimination of the sitting out rule will truly make the Valley a farm system league.
