If you're already disappointed in Ford, he'll least never be able to win you over. Patience, folks.

That makes no sense whatsoever. I'm disappointed in how we've performed this year. IMO we have underachieved so far this year. But I still believe Ford is our guy. He has my full supprt. All he has to do is start winning and I fully expect that to happen if not this year then next year.

You mean how Paul Lusk was handed the championship team in 2011-12? He took that talented roster that included Kyle Weems all the way to a 6 seed in St. Louis to a first round exit. That was disappointing. That was one of only 3 times Lusk avoided Thursday night. He also somehow managed to guide a team that was picked first with an NBA talent on the roster to the PIG.

I don't think anyone is giving up on Ford, but to say that fans shouldn't be disappointed is wrong. I also don't think anyone expected Ford to have the team competing at the top, but expectations to at least be competitive for the middle in a down year for the league shouldn't be expecting too much.

I think that kind of sums it up; no one is really down on Ford and he'll get a couple years to produce from the majority of the fan base. But with 3 seniors with starting experience back, 3 top level jucos[ counting Webster who sat mostly at Texas Tech after being rated one of the top juco pg in 2016-17] and then especially after getting both DaSilva and Ridder eligible, I think we are disappointed we've been this bad. My major displeasure was in the hiring process because this was such an important hire and I think we basically limited the spending and took a big risk. Now it easily could pay off, I like Ford, and I see what he's trying to do and what we might look like if it all comes together in a year or two, but right now it's ugly. So yeah patience is all we can hang our hat on this season .

Patience is the order of the day here. Many Valpo fans (myself included) were getting very frustrated with Coach Lottich after back to back debacles against Ball State and @Texas A&M, but since then they look like a new team and appear as though they might have turned a corner. We'll find out in the coming weeks whether that's the case, but sometimes transformations are like that: you struggle along for awhile and then suddenly the light comes on and things improve rapidly and dramatically. Maybe Missouri State is like that too. Don't lose hope yet.

I know it's one conference road win, but I was needing someone to talk me off the ledge. I endured the conference tournament every year of the Paul Lusk era, but I was seriously considering not going this year. After the debacle at home on Saturday, I was beginning to think that we may not even win a game in conference. Maybe MSU just had a really off day, and maybe Valpo is actually the real McCoy? Like I said, it's just one game, but it does restore a little faith. Any road win is a good win. I'm proud of the team tonight.

What? A little too dramatic? Sorry, couple the feelings from Saturday and a new bottle of bourbon, and this is what you get.

Not sure I understand your comment though? Missouri State is 6-1 at home this year (only lost to Valpo) and in those six wins they have won by an average of nearly 24 points. The highlights being an opening night 34 pt win over ORU and a win against a talented Western Kentucky team.

Bradley on the other hand, different story.
