Stop saying he or how moronic is he.

But he did do the write-up on each team...so there is that piece of evidence.

However, Bradley has gone just once since 1986.

Most of those factors are pretty irrelevant in the Valley. The opinions are pretty worthless too. I think there are a lot more relevant factors that one could consider if they knew the league. It would be difficult to make any such ranking, as the primary factor at Valley schools is probably the coaching staff.

I stopped looking after I saw Loyola ranked 5th for history. Given a national championship, and a fresh final 4 this seems ridiculous.

How Evansville ranks so low in tradition is horrible.I know it was D2 but 5 NCAA titles
is something.

Yeah I don't think much consideration was given to the fact that a number of current Valley members tradition
emcompasses being power houses at lower levels before making the jump to D-1. Evansville for one stands out there, and Missouri State from the 50's thru the early 70's was in 3 NAIA Championship games winning 2, was the National runner-up in D-2 on four different occasions with multiple other runs in the tourney. And even since being D-1 in the mid 80's, besides the 6 NCAA appearances has 9 NIT appearances and a CIT Championship meaning we've gone to post season half the time since making the jump . The last 7 years under Lusk tend to dominate the conscious, I get that, but anyway, I guess the goal of such articles is to generate discussion, so it's good for those reasons.

I would like to understand the sampling. How many head coaches from the MVC how many assistant coaches took part. I have a hard time believing some of the responses and also a hard time believing the participation.

Not all that long ago a coach accepted a job at Drake and become National Coach of the Year.

Illinois St. hasn't been to the NCAA Tournament in 21 years.
Evansville hasn't been in 20 years. But,the Birds are ranked a lot
higher than UE is in tradition.

Anonymous sources should tell you all you need to know about the sampling. My guess it was a concession worker in Normal.

Those 5 D-2, or college division championships came against every school in this conference not named Bradley, Drake and Loyola. That tradition is why our fanbase weathered the 20 years of sucktitude.

Facilities...second to none. Period.

We had one of the highest basketball budgets with the old regime. I am sure that clearly hasn't decreased in the last 10 months, so resources is a joke.

Talent is on the old regime, although even with that, we still attracted several first-teamers. A player like Sam Cunliffe isn't going to go to a lot of Valley schools, so that already seems outdated.

The worst job in the Valley isn't going to attract a Celtics assistant, along with two assistants as deep as Lickliter and Graves.

If this was out last year, I probably wouldn't argue much except for tradition and facilities. The last 20 years have been more than disappointing, probably no more so than the 2015-16 team. What a waste. A crappy image is well deserved in some of these areas. The weak president is gone, the weak AD/Banker is gone, and the stubborn, mediocre coach is gone. The changes have been made to put us near the top in every category, it just has to be proven they were the correct ones.

What gets me is these type of articles misrepresent a lot of work and aren't reality. I have been to a lot of games at Evansville at Roberts and the Ford center. The games are as exciting and facilities are as capable as anywhere else we have been. We have been to all except Valpo.

Actually we went to a Evansville-Drake softball game at Evansville and the stadium/seats were great. Best baseball seating I had ever experienced.
