Ja Morant is such a stud and a real pleasure to watch. And Murray state is extremely poised and confident. Hope they can keep going.

The same was true last year when Loyola should have been no higher than 6 or 7 seed.

Northeastern was a good team, I'll defend that 13 seed.

If we wanna point out seeding problems, I'd like to reference Abilene Christian, who is on the same seed line as Bradley. Woof.

I admit I didn’t watch much of that game but Northeastern looked way overmatched athletically. It’s just frustrating that the MVC doesn’t get respect even after Loyola’s run and other recent success.

Well when you take programs like Valpo over programs like Murray State...

Alright, I’ve seen enough.

The problem wasn’t in adding Valpo. If the private/public thing is true, they were the best choice. I’ve said this in defense of Murray State often, but here I use it to defend Valpo. One coach does not define a program. Valpo has been one of the best MM programs for many years. I truly believe that they will revert to that standard. Every program has had a bad coach hire once in their history. That does not define programs like Valpo or Murray State. You add for the long term not the short term. Don’t get lost in the decency bias. Valpo was, is, and will be a great add for the MVC.

But maybe eleven wasn’t so terrible... ;)

I agree. Valpo was the best private school choice.

Even now if Murray State was offered a spot who would be the other private school? It wont be Belmont.

If by some miracle or the grace of God Murray State still wants the MVC the answer is Lipscomb or a non football public like NKU or Wright State and telling the private schools to cram it.

Or just going to 11 and telling any school that objects to cram it.

I really do wish. NKU would be a nice addition. I think that would end in a Big East-esque situation unfortunately.

Both sides would be cutting off their noses to spite their faces. Our only path to multiple bids consistently is together and through increased strength no matter where it comes from.

What we're seeing is simple anger at the situation.

The MVC is done on day 1 of the tournament. That is never acceptable.

We got stuck on the 15 line. Look at what our 15 did, and what the other 15s are doing in this tournament. It's a personal affront to the league that they were stuck on the 15 line.

If this year doesn't spark change in realignment, nothing ever will. It's still a collective failure on the 10 members on the whole*, but outside help is required now. This was probably the worst season in MVC history, and the realization that we're done on day 1 is sinking in.

*well, 9 failures and Drake, for whom the basketball gods decided weren't allowed to have nice things this year
