Liam Robbins must be pretty good if he's finishing with 1st AND 2nd team awards

You saw him play against Bradley twice right? :)

Edited to add Zach Copeland to second team.

As a Redbird fan, I would vote no to Copeland. Huge turnover numbers, me first player who does not buy into a team concept and is a major reason for our struggles this year. High volume scorer, sure, but a detriment to our success this year.

Elite on ball defenders seem to be the blind spot for Bart Torvik’s POY and other metrics. I’d put Isaiah Brown and Lucas Williamson 3rd team for defense alone.

Ask Ben Jacobsen is he would trade Austin Phyfe for Cameron Krutwig straight up. He would.

He made that choice three years ago. I think he's satisfied with it.

Ask Ben Jacobsen is he would trade Austin Phyfe for Cameron Krutwig straight up. He would.

Your answer is fairly heavily affected by bias. Decency, commitment, loyalty, etc. would likely make Coach Jacobson say no to that trade, even if it was advantageous.

And it begs the question. I am saying that in some ways Phyfe is statistically better than Krutwig. If that is true, then that trade would not be advantageous.

Krutwig led Phyfe in A/TO, DefReb%, Assist%, and Box+/-. But look at each of these in conference only:

A/TO
Krutwig 1.6
Phyfe 1.5

Assist%
Krutwig 30.6
Phyfe 18.6

Defensive Rebound %
Krutwig 26.3
Phyfe 24.1

Box +/-
Krutwig +7.1
Phyfe +9.6

Bottom line: Phyfe is a better rebounder, is a much more efficient scorer, and has a better Box+/-. Krutwig has more assists.

This is a dumb argument. Krut is the superior player, end of story. Phyfe has the benefit of letting Green run the offense and shooters all around to keep the lane clean. Meanwhile Loyola has asked Krut to be their offensive engine. If you switched players Krut would go bananas for UNI.
