I couldn’t agree more. “Science” flew out of the window long ago regarding this “dreaded” virus. The fact that young healthy people are either asymptomatic or have mild symptoms is ignored. The fact that PCR testing amplifies the amount of the virus that MAY be present by a factor as high as 40 times is overlooked. I saw data just yesterday comparing Covid cases with mask and no mask mandated areas, no difference in the two. We are raising a generation of kids who will scared of their own shadows from here on out, and taking from then the irreplaceable days of youth. We cannot even mention herd immunity, which is how EVERY virus has died on the vine, and which was rapidly approaching before the first vaccine dose was administered (Dr. Marty Makary John’s Hopkins). Don’t blame Doug Elgin, blame the same mindset that bans Dr. Seuss, the MVC is the latest victim of The Cancel Culture. Oh, and please, everyone “stay safe”! Thanks China.

I agree the uni forfeit seems to have been mishandled based on what we know.

But the rest of your diatribe is a load of nonsense. Some of us including myself live and work around covid and know better. This is a basketball site so let's leave the political BS for sites devoted to that sort of debate.

Maybe I've missed this, but can anyone provide evidence that the UNI test was "false" positive. All of the media coverage I've seen says that it was indeed a true positive, but that the city of St Louis has more robust contact tracing procedures than anyone knew about.

Also GTFO with that load of hooey. Over 500,000 people have died in a year - have some respect

Let’s not make this about the virus.

The MVC agreed on a tournament. That tournament SHOULD BE PLAYED.

Drake and MSU should not play today. The city of St. Louis doesn’t have the right to tell us how to do our tournament - only what we do in St. Louis.

MARCH FROM THE ARCH. Leave town. Play the tournament.

You literally contradict yourself there. If they can tell us what to do in the city, then they can tell us how to handle the tournament, since it's in the city...

As far as I'm concerned, the tournament ended last night when they threw fairness right out the window.

Multiple tweets last night from parents. Jake said the University will release a timeline today after the attorneys review it.

I thought I was clear.
My point is that the tournament doesn’t need to be in that city. It needs to be a tournament. LEAVE THE CITY.

Christ dude, get a grip. None of this has anything to do with what happened and it's disrespectful to the 530,000 Americans that are dead from this virus.

Yes. It's ridiculous people are going this route. Not at all relevant in any way, shape or form.

The virus is going to do what it is going to do period. Why is it that people who have received the vaccine still have to play the mask game? If you are bought in to the Fauci line, great, count me out. Isn’t odd that no one has died from the flu this year? All Covid.
