Congrats on an outstanding season!

Yep. Could have easily been up 10-15 points real early, but shots weren't falling. I thought their length gave us some trouble, but we still had plenty of good shots. Early foul "trouble" (two on Williamson, Clemons, and Uguak) really hurt us as much as anything.

Oh just shut up.

Not sure what I said to deserve this response, but okay... I don't know if what I wrote comes off as backhanded or something? That's not how I meant it at all, but I can see how you read into it that way. If you're upset by "The better team won today" I meant that Oregon State was better today. not that they are better overall. It's clear that their zone and defensive intensity frustrated the Ramblers who were obviously the more talented side. Just like Loyola was the better team against Illinois when they played because they were able to keep the Illini off balance even though most would say that Illinois had more talent. That's what that expression means to me, but maybe I'm misusing it. I'm sorry if you read something into this comment that wasn't there. It wasn't meant to be insulting in the slightest. The "don't leave" was a reference to the A-10 rumors. I hope they aren't true.

I’m not sure I’d credit Oregon State with Lucas Williamson and co missing like ten open threes and Tate Hall missing every FT he took. Your comment was annoying that’s all.

I reiterate that that is not what I intended but I understand and respect why Rambler fans took it that way. I will try not to post in the heat of the moment so much and take some time to process before sharing my thoughts in the future. I have this problem on my home board too but I will make an effort to try to be a better poster in the future.

Saw this crazy stat from this twitter account on metrics:

https://twitter.com/Shot_Quality/status ... 9535389696

Based on the shots both teams got, Loyola should have won the game 92% of the time. They literally could not throw it in the ocean yesterday for the first 30 minutes of the game. It sucks, it happens sometimes, but very frustrating to watch. Great season either way Loyola.

Despite not being able to hit water if they fell out of a boat, their defense kept them in the game. Of the 20 threes they shot, I have to say at least 15 of them were not contested. Slumps just happen sometimes and are contagious. Bummer because Loyola-Houston would have been a fun time.

Loyola was clearly the better team. Just couldn't make a shot. Oregon State did not look particularly good.

Yeah it was tough to watch, especially after paying $250 to be there. That was the most frustrating part about the game, knowing that Loyola could win the game but was just struggling and in a shooting slump. It reminded me of the Loyola and SIU series, LU couldn't hit anything from three.

VUgrad just a word of advice - don't take it so personal. I didn't see anything wrong with your post. I thought the other poster was the one out of line. Sometimes emotions just run high after a loss. Especially an important high profile loss like this one.

What happened to Kaifes? He looked really good as a freshman and then scuffled after his injury sit out year. More physical or mental? They could have used some O from him badly during that stretch with foul trouble in the first half.

After his hip surgery last year, his shot just hasn't looked the same. Used to be silky smooth 45% 3P shooter. Just couldn't find his stroke this year. Combined with being a step slow on defense quite a few times.
