Really an incredible game. I don't think either team had more than a 2-3 point lead in the last 10 minutes of the game. Lead change after lead change.
Drake is 4-1 in MVC road games. Two one point wins followed by two overtime wins. Only road loss was a 5 point loss at MSU in the opener, a game in which Drake went 1-16 from 3-point range.
I thought I saw a stat today where over the last 36 minutes of the game the largest lead was 4 points. Really a entertaining game, just needed a foul to be called on Reeves shot with under 10 seconds and we might've pulled it out
Yeah, I know Mueller was pissed about a few calls down the stretch. But, you know, I could probably cherry pick several calls that went against Drake in regulation, that had they been different would have meant Drake winning in regulation. Obviously, everyone remembers a questionable call right toward the end of the game, but they ultimately have the same effect as a missed call at any time during the game.
I thought ISU played really well, and they outhustled Drake. Bulldogs played well offensively, but defensive effort wasn't what I would hope for. LOL, I'm guessing ISU fans could make the same comment regarding offense and defense.
