Guess you didn't get the memo. Loyola is an A10 team, not an MVC team. The best thing that could happen for the MVC is that Loyola limps into the A10, a lateral move, and goes the way of Tulsa and WSU ... rarely to be heard from again. Can't fault Creighton for moving to the Big East, but these lateral moves are dumb and short-sighted. As BU showed tonight, Loyola isn't all that. Good riddance.

Did Loyola hurt you? You sound pathetic.

No not really, not feeling too hurt by Loyola. LOL. Glad to share some memories, and I wish your leadership had made a better decision. But you folks are moving on, so I say again, good riddance. I do not see things working out as well in the A10 as they were working out in the MVC, but you know what they say ... if it ain't broke, fix it anyway.

Loyola was going to lose again anyway.

The problem with losing to Bradley is that Loyola still has a game with Drake and both games with UNI left, plus Arch Madness. Bradley is a team with young talent that is playing well right now, but the committee will view it as a bad, bad, bad loss.
Can Loyola's at-large chances handle two, maybe three more losses?

BU is 94 in NET and climbing. Just be thankful the Braves blew a 16 point lead in Chicago.

Loyola is moving into the same league with more terrible teams at the bottom that are all 1000+ miles away. Have fun playing LaSalle and Fordham in a terrible old gym with 87 people there knowing you have a 3 hour flight home. Hell the top half of that league looks almost identical to the Valley as well this year.

We're in such better shape as a league going forward. Next year is going to be so much fun with Drake, UNI, Murray, Belmont, Bradley and Missouri State.

Noticed the “MVC! MVC!” chants by Bradley fans on the broadcast, like when they won those NCAA Tournament games in 2006.

This conversation has been beat to death and doesn’t belong in this thread. Many people view the A10 as a better league. Yes, because playing a game in NYC against Fordham sounds so much worse than going to Evansville or Terre Haute, I’m sure the players will be so depressed.

It's very possible Loyola could be to the A10 what Valpo was to the Valley when it joined. An NIT squad on the dip. If we can give them a nudge in that direction all the better. Yes it may cost the Valley an NCAA share or two but the A10 is our competitor.

I don't begrudge Loyola for moving to the A10 like some others because it's a league of fellow private big city Catholic schools and some do see it as better if only marginally. But since they have one foot out the door I don't want them riding high on the way out either.

I think he sounds about the way most do. Loyola is leaving for a different conference, and not one that is really any better than the Valley. Tulsa and Wichita thought it was great for them as well and thus far, it definitely hasn't.

Loyola is leaving, so hoping for them to experience success elsewhere would be unusual.

I disagree, most fans I talk to aren’t hateful related to the move and are understanding. On top of that Loyola doing well this year only benefits the conference, they leave any money made in March with the MVC.

I understand fans may be salty about them leaving for the A10 and root against them for leaving the MVC, but the good riddance and “stupid” lateral move comment is ignorant. The A10 is a better cultural fit and statistically has been the better conference for decades.

Edit: this is also coming from a Loyola fan that would have been happy to stay in the MVC, but understands the move to the A10.
