Largest single-game comebacks per the MVC Media Guide:

Date -- (Deficit), Winning Team, Score
1/27/77 -- (28 pts at Bradley) New Mexico State, 117-109
3/6/05 -- (23 vs Southern Illinois), Missouri State, 65-61
1/27/01 -- (23 vs Bradley), Evansville, 70-67 (ot)
11/25/07 – (22 at Winthrop), Missouri St., 73-69
11/27/89 -- (21 to Butler), Illinois State, 67-59 (ot)
2/19/08 -- (21 to Wichita State), Indiana State, 83-73 (ot)
1/23/19 -- (21 to UNI), Southern Illinois, 70-62

I don't see any mention of 1st or 2nd half. Either way, this was an insane game.

I have no idea what I just saw but I don’t care!! GO BU!

Think it’s apt we did it at Southern where a great coach once said “IT’S THE VALLEY”!

Thanks for digging this up!

We'll see tonight's game on those "flashback" commercials the MVC runs on Bally each season for years to come!

Bradley shot 33% in the first half and damn near 70% in the second.

SIU shot 60% in the first half, 35% in the second.

It was a complete 180 from both teams. Completely nuts.

Salukis shot uncharacteristically well despite Bradley taking them out of their comfort zone in the first half, and Bradley was just out of sync offensively. Then they just played awful in the second half. Bradley outscored them slowly gaining a little over a point a minute through defense and better offense. They literally just chipped away, and then got huge 3's and 3-point plays here and there throughout the final 10 minutes to turn the tide. SIU had a 5-6 minute drought in the final 8.

It also helped that Bryan Mullins ran the shot clock down to 12 every possession the last seven minutes in an attempt to never have to score again and still win. It didn’t work. Xavier Johnson couldn’t bail him out.
