Folks dont believe the ESPN attendance number... as a live witness id say about 800 off. Had some noise. Not chirping- we could have lost. But as I mentioned a few weeks ago Better lace them up tight Valpo is not an easy out this year.

Wasn't it Ragland who pulled his star shooting guard with 15 minutes left against Indiana State and didn't play him again while his team went from a win to a home loss? You can talk sh%t now but loss will more than likely be huge later in the year.

Rags is going to coach the kid for another 2.5 years. Whatever his point was, it worked.

As a Bradley fan I apologize to the rest of the league. A team that SHOULD have tried to dominate the league and gone all in on the roster this summer - decided not to and gave rides to a walk on, a project from Italy and a 5th year guy who never played and went through senior day last year. The absolute fear and loathing of the transfer portal doesn't work in these times.

So, as feared, that has left BU about 1.5 to 2 players short. This is a soft team. Incredibly soft. They don't rebound well. They don't get to the line. They turn it over way too much because of being soft. The book is out on them. Run them off the three point line, bully them and there you go.

There is talent there so I do think they will compete for the title, but this isn't a 17-3 team as many had hoped with the sky high expectations leading into the season. The goal SHOULD have been an at-large bid resume but the coaches did not accept that challenge or expectations on any level.

I agree with Tribe completely on this one. Marshmallows was the word that came to mind as i watched another stiff ferguson from Drake slam it down unchecked. Its the wasted scholies and lack of balls scheduling a buy game or two or getting us in a better MTE than myrtle beach. Last years non con was appropriate, this year with deen and hannah back needed to be all out. We could win 24 games and still sit outside the top 50 in NET. We havent played a good game since the Dons. Hope we finally show some stones on Saturday. UIC needs to be a W for this squad. And while I'm on the Wardle rant, he also needs to stop subbing every 90 seconds. Let the guys play! Dont yank a guy the second he turns it over. Part of the softness comes from fear of messing up. Its always been Wardle's achilles heel but its been extreme lately and needs to stop or at least calm down a bit. We looked uninterested after the ten minute mark in the 1st half too. i dont know why...theyve only kicked our arse 5 times in a row now!

What do you mean it worked? They lost the Indiana State game primarily because Haffner was on the bench for the last 3/4 of the second half. Haffner is already having a much better year than last year.

From what I understand, they got into a heated disagreement on the bench. Of course, as a player, you cannot spout back at your coach, but when your team only has 3 MVC- ready guards, you need to let things slide during the game in order to secure the win. You can make them run laps for the next 2 weeks instead of banning him from the last 3/4 of the second half in a key MVC game.

Try to keep up. The Aces just beat ISU by 18.

Amen Aces 44.

Apparently Aces Aces was neither at the game nor watched it. Haffner tried retrieving a loose ball at half court to start a fast break, lost his legs, slid across the floor losing the ball, and eventually a foul was committed by a teammate diving into a scrum for the loose ball. Haffner was very upset with himself for not controlling the ball and reacted by pounding the floor. He came out of the game with no interaction with Coach Ragland and sat on the bench.

Any one who has seen Ragland coach knows he is very mild mannered. He will sometimes coach up a player as they come to the bench, but usually gives a fist bump and a congrats.

Nothing there there.

They beat Illinois State not Indiana State. They lost to Indiana State at home. A big part of that loss was they played without their starting guard for 3/4 of the 2nd half. The coach benched the player for personal reasons. That's not good.
