Apparently BU doesn't really have a sports information department any more.
So I went to the school's website and as of 11:20 a.m. EST the day after (roughly 13.5 hours later) the Braves smashed Indiana State, there is no game story on Bradley's website.
There is a box score, but that's it.
I do understand that there has been a shift in communication focus across many campuses, but that's embarrassing. It's not as embarrassing as the former SID asking the newspaper to be a cheerleader for BU instead of a journalist and blocking his access, but BU should be ashamed of itself for not being able to do the simplest of tasks.
You don't need a novel, just a few paragraphs. Tell us the result, who scored the most, a few fun facts and tell us who they play next and how to watch/listen. Simple.
There is a stark difference between Bradley's website and their social media presence. They are super active on Twitter, so someone at the school should be able to spend a few minutes posting a photo and a few sentences about the game. I'll be honest though, if I am looking for the latest information about a game, a school's website is about 15th on the list of places I'd think to check.
Side note, this Bradley board is the better of the two IMO. Seems more trafficked and there are fewer clowns:

BU certainly isn't alone in the shift toward social platforms and they do have some nice looking content, but that doesn't really excuse the lack of a game recap more than half-a-day later. It can be a copy-and-paste of an AP story. It's lazy coverage for one of the league's marquee programs.
They used to have some in-depth (perhaps even overly so) game notes and stories, now they're the worst in the league.
I'm sure we seek out information in a different way, but if I want to know when Team X is playing a game and how to watch/listen, the first place I go is their website. Most of the information is in before the season starts (or should be).
Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy, but this is the kind of stuff that makes me and many people think twice before donating to a school.
Edit: I just looked and apparently Bradley's MBB SID also runs their Valley on ESPN productions, so they're asking him to do two full-time jobs at the same time - all with no real experience in communications, according to his online bio. He's set up to fail.
