It's not just about basketball, what other sports does a school have to offer.

They're fine. The baseball team won their conference last year, beating ORU and they field soccer, which would help since not everyone fields a team.

One thing to add about UST is that they are one of two full D1 schools in Minnesota. I know everyone knows this but glosses over it nonetheless. Iowa by comparison has four D1 schools with a population of 3.2 million. The Twin Cities alone have 3.6 million people.

There's capacity for a bandwagon with UST. Especially with the Gophers committed to being a once a decade tournament team. Some teams, like Bellarmine since it was most recently discussed, may be playing third fiddle in their own town. (And with Cincy right there, they may be playing 8th fiddle). Heck, Drake fans talk about how early season attendance is impacted by Iowa and Iowa State football. Point is that UST is in a very unique position of a really big pond with not a lot of fish. Even with pro sports I think there's more than enough capacity for UST to be successful.

Chattanooga would be by far and away my #1 choice if the MVC were to replace MO State. The question would be IF Chattanooga was willing to join as the SOCON is more geographically friendly for them and it wisely has a $2,000,000 exit fee.

If Chattanooga wasn't willing to join, then I'd be fine with holding at 11 for now, as I'm not really thrilled with any of the other current options at the moment.

Yeah, I’d like to hear the argument. They weren’t really on my radar at all. It’s drivable to me and so personally it would be advantageous. Don’t see where it carries potential benefits St. Thomas does, but hadn’t ever really considered or studied them.

We would need to get Chattanooga into the MVFC, we wouldn't have to worry about that with St. Thomas.

They wouldn't get in.

The Dakotas needed us a hell of a lot more than we needed them and they were brought in with full voting power (thanks Patty). We bent over backwards twice (USD and UND) to help the Summit out for them to turn around and throw a fit about Murray with NDSU actually voting 'no'.

UNI tried to warn everybody that you didn't want to be in a league with them from our time in the NCC but nobody listened and here we are. NDSU is working on destroying another league so they can keep up with Texas.

The sooner the MVFC implodes, the better.
