Now would I be bitter over this if the whole situation was reversed? Heck Yes! I'm just glad that I'm on this side of things so far. Who knows what a year or two down the road will bring. But it looks good so far.

Now on to the game. I highly doubt the Jays have their toughness issues figured out or anti-choke valve turned on yet, so with the hostile crowd expected I easily see the Jays losing this game. They can keep it competitive though and it will come down to how many touches they can get Dougie and GregE down low in the home stretch instead of Young just dribbling around everywhere.

UNI 59
Jays 50
He signed a LOI, that is the same thing as being on campus and then transfering.

Had he not signed then nothing could/should be done. The LOI is....well WAS...a binding thing that brings with it the same consequences...well used too...that transferring after being on campus does.

What's the difference in saying it on a message board or just thinking it. It really is the same thing.

You know you want nothing more than for both McMoney's to fail at everything that is basketball at CU.

It's simple.

Coach leaves: fans are bummed
Coach leaves for in-state rival: hard feelings
Coach moves to conference foe: more hard feelings
Coach also takes top recruit at last second, regardless of situation: "Wtf, are you serious?" Hard feelings.

I agree it would have looked really bad and what was done had to be done. But this wasn't our doing, it was all McDermott's desire to have a soft landing spot after Iowa State. Coach Jacobson did the right thing because he puts his family and friends before his profession. Those of us who aren't personal friends with the McDermott family don't have to feel so warm and fuzzy about the situation.

Because of the unusual nature of the situation, I would have liked to see our Athletic Director put a "gentleman's agreement" in the release that Doug would never play in a game against the Panthers. Is missing 2-3 games a year worth having father and son coach together? Seems like a reasonable accomodation to me.

Even if that wasn't the agreement G$ should do that anyway...you know "as a friend"

So UNI fans are going to boo the heck out of their coach and AD who allowed this to happen, right? Sounds like that is who you should be blaming based on what you're saying.

Our coach and AD were put in an impossible situation and did the only thing they could do. If there are boos, they will be for the individual(s) who put them in that situation.

Who said dirty? Luke tends to get a high elbow into someone every game. I'm not looking for Luke to just haul off on him.

I hope that doesn't happen. Luke is going to have his hands full at the post the way it is.
