You're right, I didn't read all that you typed. Point still stands though, the media and coaches from the Valley are going to know more about the league then coaches across the nation that vote in that poll.

The Panthers returned all five starters from the team that won the title the year before. It was pretty much a lock that UNI was the favorite last year.

Creighton was highly regarded, no doubt, but the mass majority of with UNI.

The MVC press has a "heard" mentality and don't show much discernment. If you look back at past predictions, I suspect you will find that last year prediction was the exception rather than the rule. I know that every time WSU is the preseason favorite they don't win.
