No way any teams that do not have a local connection get those seats year after year. Nothing against the people sitting there as I would do the same thing but then don't send out a statement like the MVC does saying its not rigged. When CU was doing well in the Korver years we had just as many people in St. Louis but minus family we were still in the corner and end zone. I remember becasue we stayed for the Monday night game. All of the prime seat holders had left. Our AD had huge groups of mid court tickets to hand out for the final game. Why didn't CU have those in the first place when they were a favorite and had such a big following?

Is this where I start the STL/KC rotation argument?

I assume you are talking about the instance that started wtih the WSU "adults" throwing ice at the CU student section during the Ill St. game after Mr. Woodfox sent you packing?

You just had to, didn't you? You couldn't just make your comment without the mention of Woodfox. Seems the question will ALWAYS remain if it was Woodfox (with his catch, dribble, dribble, shoot all in 1.9 seconds) or the ref who didn't start the clock (because his little eyes couldn't see exactly when Woodfox caught the ball). All you are trying to do is stir the pot and turn MCVfans into ValleyTalk. Yes, I know, You will come back with the old and very tired "It's you who are stiring the pot by responding to me." Don't mention it in the first place when it has no relevance to the thread, and it will die the death it so very much deserves.

Sorry. My bad. The crack about the CU students in the shouting match with WSU fans hit a sore spot, as though WSU fans were just sitting there minding their own business rather than taking great pleasure in goading the poor CU students watching their team getting waxed by Osiris and his buddies. But, if it makes you feel any better the score keeper allowed my sixth grade girl to go from near meltdown in tears to great joy in the span of say 2.5 seconds :D

Well, I'm glad something good came from it. No one wants a 6th grader to cry.

Still no seating chart? Why does it seem like the MVC is hiding this? Why not post it on the official website? Come on, let us see the seating chart! :x

I have also contacted tournament director, Jow Mitch, but have received no response as of yet.

Schools that sell the most tickets by Jan. 1 each year are assigned to separate quadrants. Those projected to advance to the championship round are typically assigned seats closest to the court. Tier 1 seats are allocated equitably with schools rotating into those sections once every three years.

I have an email out to the MVC asking for the pretty little color map that we've seen in the past.

Any luck with this yet?

From Mike Kern, Associate MVC Commissioner:

I do not have one that is an electronic format.

I’ll forward your request to our tournament manager, Joe Mitch.

Have they every tried scanning it and putting it in electronic format?

I found one! If you go to MVC's page, it is on the last page of the handbook. You can actually see the past few years' seating charts.
