It's all within the rules of the game and won't get any consideration what-so-ever when voting. Rice had every opportunity to red shirt this season and let me go on the record in saying that I didn't want the Sycamores to redshirt Odum, they did and I was probably wrong for my opinion in the grand scheme of things.

The pressures on both players are a lot different, though both are excellent.
Also, Odum scored 17 points, had 7 assists and five rebounds in a big must-win game for Indiana State against Northern Iowa on Tuesday. In a big game for Creighton on Wednesday, McDermott had one of his worst efforts of the season with 11 points and 3 rebounds.

Your argument holds absolutely no weight. You cannot put more stock into a guy because of your personal perception that his position is more important. Ridiculous.
Doug McDermott is going to be a first team all conference player as a true freshman. He is the leading rebounder and top 5 scorer in the entire league. The fact that you have to argue that one of McDermott's "worst" games of the season was still a game in which he scored in double figures, says a lot about the type of year he had.
He has had a great freshman season, but there is no argument for Odom.
