Um, okay. When is Orupke coming? I've been waiting for a long time.

orupke was never the 4th best Juco prospect in the nation

Um, okay. If he's so great why is he going to WSU? If you were ever going to win a title and the tourney, this was your year. Sorry for a dose of reality.

Rivals doesn't have him rated and it looks like he choose WSU over Southern Miss and VCU.

I'm convinced. Chalk Gregg up for another MVC title and a trip to the dance.

I certainly don't have enough information to make picks for next season, but I generally agree that Creighton and Indiana State will be contenders.

If you look at Creighton's results this year, they were very close to fighting for the top spot.

As long as Indiana State has Odum and some decent shooters, they'll be a factor. Odum has some flare to him.

My honest opinion is that WSU was only missing a guy like Odum this year. They need a QB out there to get things going when they start standing around.

I also think that WSU and UNI will be in the picture. WSU will have the best athletes and UNI might just have the best coach.

MSU has a big hole to fill with Mallett - he seemed like the "glue" guy to me. Perhaps I'm wrong about that.

Evansville will be a tough game for everyone. They could crack the top 5.

BU will be in flux, but if Brown and Maniscalco are back, along with Simms-Edwards, they're a dangerous team.

Drake...well...

Illinois State could be markedly better.

Southern Illinois seems to be playing out a lame duck session. Without a change, I'm guessing they'll be about the same next year.

So he's probably a good player. Is that what you're trying to say?

Traditionally when the valley is stronger a team that is constructed like that of the current E-ville squad does not fare as well. I like Colt Ryan too, but I also remember how things were with Shy Ely (another great Eville player). Its all going to depend on the pieces that Marty surrounds him with.

Guys, you continue to miss my point: If the Valley is weaker, most of the Valley teams are weaker, in different scales of relativity. We are trying to quantitatively answer qualiatative questions. None of us will ever know. Just judge all 10 teams by the same standard.

Do not pat Coach Martin on the back for winning the regular season championship and then give Coach Simmons a backward compliment for finishing 6th instead of 10th because the Valley is weak. Either Coach Lansing deserves the accolades for getting the Sycamores to the NCAAs, or he does not because the Valley is weak. Tell Jim Les that the Valley was weak this year.

alright....

1. Is Carl Hall cleared to play with his heart condition?

2. MSU fans, I understand how you feel. IlSU fans felt the same way. You won't realize what you had until it's gone. Scheer making up for Leonard? Not a chance. Keith Pickens wasn't half the player Mallett was before the injury. Creekmore benefitted from having quality players to set him up; Rhine and Patterson won't be so lucky next season. Weems will be worth a few wins by himself, but a trip down to bottom half seems likely unless you load up on more good juco guards.

3. Nic Moore better be as good as I think he will be, or Jank will be bounced.

1. Creighton
2. Indy State
3. Wichita State
4. Drake
5. Illinois State (assuming the best)
6. Evansville
7. Missouri State
8. UNI
9. SIU
10. Bradley (assuming the worst)

I think the Valley will be even worse next season. :buddies:

But maybe the top two will be good enough to separate and both can get into the Tournament.
