Yeah it stinks, but it's the risk you take when you make a change. Some are making it seem like the sky is falling, but it isn't. Under Sammy, BU went CBI, CIT, no postseason. There's little evidence that next year, even if everything went right, BU would be any better than middle of the road. BU clearly wasn't afraid of losing Danny Granger in 2002 when he had 3 years left at the school, so there's no reason to be afraid of losing a player now that has 1 year left, and a twice surgically-repaired ankle. Best of luck Sammy, I hope you find what you're looking for.

I didn't know Danny Granger went to Bradley?

He was there for a year and a half before transferring to New Mexico. His last game was a 35+ point, 12+ rebound game at Evansville as a sophomore.

With a release could he transfer in conference and play immediately?

No, it's the same same scenario as with Illinois. He would not only need a release, but also be granted a waiver by the NCAA. To have a chance to get the waiver, he would have to demonstrate that he was transferring for primarily academic reasons, i.e. he's entering a graduate program that BU doesn't offer.

You told me earlier this season you rarely watched Pacersgames...And that Josh McRoberts was "one of the worst players in the NBA."

In case you missed it, Maniscalco committed to Illinois.

Calling it “the toughest decision I’ve ever had to make,” Bradley guard Sam Maniscalco has given his oral commitment to transfer to Illinois for his final basketball season.

Maniscalco, who visited the Illinois campus Monday, will graduate from Bradley in May and then use the NCAA’s graduate student waiver to become immediately eligible for the Illini next fall.

I don't have the link right now, but Dyricus Simms-Edwards has also asked for his release from Bradley.

Also, top returning scorer Dyricus Simms-Edwards plans to ask for a release from Bradley to pursue his options, according to Kevin Brown, Simms-Edwards’ high school coach at Washington.
