here is what Evansville sees in it's future

Excellent observation! It's possible UNC & Butler could play for the national championship so we could also have the national runnerup on our schedule AGAIN!.......not to mention the National Champ also

We are prep and ready to Kick......

From a post on Panthernation

What we know:

Home:
Iowa
Colorado State (MWC/MVC Challenge)
UW-Milwaukee
2 South Padre Island games

Away:
Iowa State
Old Dominion (2010 Bracket Busters game)
Bracket Busters (February date)

Neutral (at South Padre Island Invitational):
Providence (I believe they are finalized)
One other TBA team (probably from a top 8 conference)

3 games left to get. Most likely it will be a game at a BCS school, and two additional home games to get to 16 home games for the year and a team playing without Kwadzo. One of those home games will be a guarantee game like Morehead State was this year where they came to UNI for just one game and UNI paid them to do so. This is the ad I saw on the basketball travelers website:
Quote:
UNI is looking for a home guarantee game on either Nov. 15th or 16th and between December 17th and 22nd of 2011.

BirdmanBB wrote:So Missouri State's schedule is practically done then. Just need to find out who they play for the 2 home games of the vegas tourney.

Missouri State:
@ Nevada (’10 Bracketbuster Return)
Oklahoma State (@OKST in 2012-13)
Tulsa
@ Oral Roberts
@ Arkansas State
@ Arkansas-Little Rock
12/3–@ New Mexico (MVC/MWC Challenge)
Las Vegas Classic (2 home, 2 in Vegas)
Bracketbuster

That should be 12 non-con games plus 18 conference games. They should have plenty of chances to prove themselves next year. 3 BCS games and some solid ones against New Mexico, Tulsa and potentially a good BB opponent. I think ORU loses some guys next year and Nevada wasn't all that great this year. Too bad they lose some key guys. Hopefully they have some that can fill the void.

We are still trying to continue the series with SLU. But since we have so many away/neutral games we want them to come here to start the next series and they seem to be balking at that since they came here this year. Hoping for a 4 year series with H-A-A-H...

That would give us

Home
OK State- RPI 58
Tulsa- RPI 84
SLU- RPI 184 (again, this is a maybe)
Las Vegas- probably RPI 200+
BB- probably RPI under 150

Away
Nevada- RPI 198
ORU- RPI 135
AR State- RPI 180
UALR-RPI 196
New Mexico- RPI 71
LV Classic ('Bama-65, WVU-22, TBD-??)

Depending where these games fall, ah heck, not even going to try and guess right now...We still have 3 scholarships to give and a coach to keep!!!

Elgin can't do anything if the ADs at the various schools don't give him the power to act....

Indiana State will play in the Old Spice Classic in November it was announced today. Also the rumor is ISU will be the opening opponent for UCLA in the newly renovated Pauly Pavilion. Really hope that happens!

I thought they weren't playing in Pauly next year? I think I heard it will be closed for all of next year for the renovations.

The Sycamores will play next season in the Old Spice Classic Tournament. This premier early season tourney takes place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando. Its an 8-team field that will feature Minnesota, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Dayton, DePaul, Fairfield, Wake Forest and of course, Indiana State. ESPN which runs the tourney is suppose to make the official announcement later this week.

Maybe its 2 years from now. I just heard some people talking about it. The whole Wooden connection between ISU and UCLA.

If that's true about Indiana St., then it's possible that the round robin with Mich St. involves either Evansville or Bradley. I would guess Evansville since usually contracts aren't signed until everyone is in. Since BU has been without a coach........

That would be quite an impressive schedule for Evansville next year. It would actually make a lot of sense if Butler was folded in as the Horizon team in the mix.
