It seems to me that not that many years ago that it was four good to decent home games and two cupcakes were the norm. With scheduling getting tougher and tougher (if you're expected to be any good) it has reversed to about 4 cupcakes and two good to decent home games.

It really seems to me that something is going to give and the Big 6 will likely end up with their own championship. They will probably try to accelerate this due to Butler and VCU.

I would disagree on saying it's pretty good, I'd say it's average to slightly weak especially with what is expected of Creighton this year. 3 BcS teams (2 at home-both okay squads but not world beaters, 1 neutral-can't tell if they'll be better or just deeper, is good) a, 4 home absolute patsies is bad. The UAB, SD State, and Tulsa roadies will be the difference in bubble talk come March assuming they are as good in conference as expected. Average RPI of 167

This is where the next tier (A-10, CAA, MVC, MWC, CUSA and maybe the Horizon or WAC) need to work with each other to get games scheduled. We already have an arrangement with the MWC, and we get Horizon games fairly regularly as a conference. But we need to partner up with those other three to the east to build better resumes and make the BcS schools have to dip deeper into the trenches for games. Looks like Tulsa and UAB are both looking at Valley schools to work home and homes with from CUSA, maybe we can get a few more of their conference mates to join in.

I forgot how Qwest = CenturyLink would affect the arena's name rights...not sure how I feel about CenturyLink Center...doesn't roll off the tongue as well. CenturyLink Arena or Colliseum doesn't sound that bad....well maybe...

I think is a a pretty good overall schedule considering we don't have a big time exempt tourny this year. We have 4 top 100 teams (I'd say either Iowa or St Joes will make top 150 this year). 4 home patsies is kind of the norm now, so that shouldn't be surprising. I'd say the road schedule is pretty agressive.

If we win (and do well in conference) it should put us in the conversation. That is about all you can ask for a schedule.
