I too enjoyed the CU-SIU rivalry when both teams were at the top of their game in the Valley... watching SIU come into Omaha and beat the Jays, when SIU's had those very solid\physical teams, was extremely frustrating but the games were physical and intense and I will never forget the power struggle between the two between 2001-2008... it's a shame that the SIU program fell off the way it did - but with Hinson in charge - you guys will be just fine. Hoping that both Creighton and SIU can find a way to continue their series on the court in the years to come. I would put SIU up there with Wichita State and Northern Iowa as important series to attempt to continue, would be a shame to leave those "rivalries" completely in the dust.
