Let’s be honest about it: the President’s have been guaranteed that the first 3 years will be a free vacation in Dallas in Late January for some Conference Meeting which gets them out of the above referenced cities for the week fully paid by their employer. That’s the driver to this, and not making the MVC a better basketball conference, which should be the only driving factor.
This is pretty facially ridiculous and I can't tell if it is sarcasm. But it does bring up a great point. UTA would be the second most convenient road trip for me as a Drake fan in Des Moines when you factor in travel time and cost. I'm sure, to some extent, the same principle applies for team travel convenience. It would not surprise me at all to find out that a UTA road game would be one of the cheapest in the conference for the Bulldogs.
By the way, I'm not saying that we need to add UTA. I'm just pointing out that the distance argument that's often repeated around here doesn't really make a lot of sense to me.
