4--Kansas City's presentation and plan was the most impressive of any of the applicants and has caused the schools on the fence about them to be willing to take a deeper look.

Interesting. I wonder what made their presentation/plan so impressive.

They mentioned in passing that they were west of the Mississippi…

Notes from Matt Brown today.

1--The Valley has no interest in any of the Dakotas due to distance, budget and population.

2--Milwaukee and Northern Kentucky were contacted early on but could not commit to increased budgets across all Valley major sports (MBB, WBB, VB, Baseball) so they were quickly dismissed.

3--No strong consensus for any individual applicant in 12/19 meeting. Arlington, UIC and Murray (if they can figure out football) still likely to be added at some point this spring. Arlington is the only one school that could potentially start in the league in 22-23 with the others coming in 23-24.

Second hand info to me from the UNI Athletic Department from what they had from Matt Brown. Just passing along. Should have clarified better.

All in all, I'd feel pretty good if I were Arlington, UIC and Murray.

Second Hand information is just that...second hand. MVC is as tight lipped about expansion as any league could possible be. I look forward to an announcement hopefully with the next 14 days.

The next president's council meeting is the 17th so I'm guessing we'll have some real answers by then.

Hey BCPanther, on The CSNbbs board, Matt Brown is denying he said points 1,3 & 4 saying he hasn't spoken with anyone connected to the MVC since the 28th. Maybe your source told you what the UNI dept and/or other schools were feeling concerning the process. I'm still cool with it though.
