I never said I "knew" that. That was my prediction/guess. I know about the schedule.
Either way I'm not losing sleep whether you believe it or not.

That's not terrible. It's not great but it's not a boat anchor either. I get wanting a little balance due to the competition you see in league play jumping up significantly.

BelmontFansExist wrote:You Guys are all correct! It's not a bad non-conference schedule. It's just weaker than I've seen from Belmont in a while, hence the disappointment. The majority being away/neutral games should help with NET rankings. Honestly, overall it probably plays well with the NET rankings, especially with playing much better competition in the MVC. I just have a hard time seeing this schedule warranting an at-large without a couple marquee games. I'm used to feeling confident with the schedule that Belmont at least is in position for an at-large before the season starts. I think they'd need to only lose a handful of games (or maybe even less) to be in consideration this year, which will be much tougher now being in the MVC. Still excited for the season, and especially for the MVC games!

If they go 26-4 this year, they'll get in easily.

I'm rooting for the MVC as much as anyone, but I disagree with this. The 2020 UNI team was 25-6 with a neutral site win over South Carolina and a road win over #24 Colorado and was likely on the wrong side of the bubble, had there been a tournament. A 26-4 Belmont team might get in (and I hope they do), I just have a problem with the word easily being in there.
