I didn't say I don't care. I'm a season ticket holder and have been for years. What I said is my life doesn't revolve around 19 year olds in short pants, thus, I have no need to show arrogance like I had something to do with it. Since my life doesn't revolve around 19 year olds in short pants I don't feel the need to feed any arrogance, like you do, by posting taunting and caustic comments about other people and their teams.

I support the Redbirds but I don't live through them vicariously. There is a difference.

And like I said, 15 years of mediocrity and underachieving will do that to a fan. I expect that. When (or if) you ever exceed expectations, you'll feel differently. Losing and mediocrity doesn't breed arrogance buddy.

And I don't see what was so arrogant about my post. A Redbird fan FIRST told WSU fans to shut up and I countered with my superior response. Fans typically respond this way, especially on message boards.

And please don't act like Illinois State fans are all in line with your holy plan.

Apparantly, you've never been to or watched a sporting event outside of Redbird Arena before.

Suck it up. The winner goes the spoils, the loser mellows and takes it. If you can't stand my one responsitory remark, then either you've ignored this site for its 3 years of existence or are incredibly in need of some testosterone. Or you could just leave the whole sports fan board hysteria altogether and do something more rewarding in life, like picking up litter or something.

I'm more impressed that you keep coming back. And just like that, you've turned into a hypocrite. You are now in the middle of a big back-and-forth session on an internet message board that 2 hours ago you were telling me wasn't worth your time. Well, apparently, this is worth your time. Big ups to you.

I didn't say it wasn't worth my time. You made that up. What I said is you derive your self esteem from the exploits of 19 year olds - like you had something to do with it.

Clever, but by definition "shorts" are "short pants." So

The fear is that if it reverts to a one bid league, Marshall will move on. As a result, adding a team that can compete for NCAA bids immediately is much more important than adding a team that may be the best candidate long term.

An over-simplification leading to an incorrect conclusion.

While Marshall liked that the MVC had been a multi-bid league for several years, his main problem with the Big South as that winning the conference tournament was the only way to get to the Dance, and even then, would get a poor seed.

I don't think Marshall will mind at all if WSU/MVC becomes the Gonzaga/WCC of the late 2000's (prior to the run for St. Mary's). Marshall wants single-digit seeds, and he can do that in the MVC.

How do the words "have them do something your program can't do" have to do with my self-esteem and the exploitation of 19 year olds?

Are you seriously going there? What the hell are fans supposed to do then? Who the hell said I had anything to do with it? They do represent MY university and MY college basketball team which I am a FAN of.

Me thinks the ring of truth from my original comment stings so bad that you have cast every fan of every sporting team in the world out to be "exploiters".

No - just you. Well, I guess you really aren't an exploiter - just a braggart over something you had nothing to do with. Your total lack of manners in the way you treat other people here at this forum just because of the team you support makes you nothing special; just a boorish brute.

Now go ahead and sling back another one of your patented taunts - you know the kind that you treat other people here at the forum with just because of the team you support vs the team they support. I am through so you have the last word. I'm sure it will be special.
