Don't look now but Appalachian State just cut men's soccer dropping the SBC below the autobid threshold even with affiliates. I think the MVC is in the same boat now that Valpo has axed its program. You have to think that Central Arkansas will strongly consider going back to the MVC (unless they get picked up by another league like CUSA or something).

Who would’ve guessed Augustana’s former name was Illinois State University...before the Illinois State University we all love or loathe today.

A short time later, the school moved north to Springfield, Illinois, where it was renamed again — this time to Illinois State University.

Nicknamed by historians as “the college on wheels,” Augustana wasn’t done moving yet.

In the “Wait, what?” files of realignment:

The Capital Conference of D3 has announced expansion into a coast-to-coast Frankenconference.

No word on if finances are projected to slip on a Banana Slug.

That is insane. I guess it's possibly doable because D3 costs so much less but they also probably have next to no revenue. The P5 doesn't even have a coast to coast conference. I don't even think the WAC or the Great Midwest had such an awful nonsensical footprint.

Ah yes the PFL... I hope you will forgive me if I prefer to pretend that PFL (or at least Valpo's football program) didn't exist... At least it brings money and students and donations to the university so there's that...

Looks like FAMU is headed to the SWAC and RMU might be headed to the Horizon League. I know these probably don't have any material impact on the NCAA landscape but it would still be nice to see the MVC make a move for Murray State and Belmont or NKU.

As they should have. Less travel and better more recognizable brands. Great move by the Rattlers. Not to be the one constantly bringing this up but this is yet another conference at 11 teams that will probably be doing 20 conference games. #NotSayingJustSaying.
